Because a HUMAN BEING is the only creature that refuses to be who he is... (क्योकि मनुष्य ही एकमात्र ऐसा प्राणी है जो वह होने से इनकार करता, जो वह है...)

He sees that everyone is saluting him. He has become an object of respect from his home to his office; Everyone is eager to meet him. As soon as he gets off the stage, there is an influx of people taking photographs and taking autographs. Earlier where he had to wait for hours for his work, now he is handling those tasks himself.

Such dreams keep coming to the minds of people every now and then. They are always busy thinking about how to rise from their present situation to reach the best. Human beings are like this by nature. He is not ready to accept his status quo. By imagining a virtual world, he is always pushing himself towards it.

1. If we look carefully at history from ancient to the present, then it seems that man has always tried to show himself to the world in some other form. Whether it is an exaggerated portrayal of kings done by poets or other works done by rulers to immortalize their name forever, there is an intention to hide the status quo somewhere or the other. However, this should never be understood to mean that these kings only sang their heroic saga and remained completely away from the rule. But it is acceptable that he was a human being and he too had the aspiration for his fame according to human nature.

2. If we look at the modern period, then at present the mutual competition and false rhetoric of different countries easily show their competition to get fame. Countries like North Korea talking about big things more than their real strength is direct proof of this. This tendency is easily visible even after looking at the level of a particular person. Psychology considers it as the basic tendency of man.

3. We see on various occasions that people try their best to cover up. They are hesitant to present themselves to society as they really are. They feel that the opening of the real situation will reduce their dignity and status, and their respect will be lost. We can understand this very well in such a way that if we go somewhere outside to speak something like a wedding ceremony, market or on stage, then most of us try our best to be nice by hiding our reality to a great extent. Sometimes this effort goes to the point of criticizing others and trying to establish oneself as great.

4. At present social media is also playing a big role in hiding the human status quo. Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram are such where people want to hide their real identity and show themselves in some other form. We come across many such videos every day where people are often seen helping the poor and giving necessities to orphaned children, but it comes to light after some time that they were doing this for their fame by giving them money. Although not all of them are like this, some actually do it for good.

5. By the way, honesty lies in accepting people for who they really are; their basic tendencies, and how much they affect their behavior. The famous psychologist Sigmund Freud has also given two types of the human mind - the id and the superego. Where 'Id' refers to the lustful mind of man, while 'Superego' signifies the discreet mind. Both of these are part of basic human instinct. When they exist from birth, then there is no justification to be seen to be disturbed to appear in a different form apart from their original nature. Although it is necessary to keep our moral minds under control while curbing our desires, for this it is best to follow the easy path. Hiding one's innate tendencies in the guise of unbridled striving to become great gives rise to dissonance in personality. We see many such examples around us that such a person has committed some heinous act that could not even be expected from him. It is the result of the incompatibility of personality.

6. It is also very important to know that this tendency of man does not only harm, its many advantages have also been seen, today there are progressive discoveries and innovations in various fields, but the result of this is also that man does not want to live by being satisfied with his status quo. He always wants something new. Describing this nature of man, Jaishankar Prasad writes,

"इस पथ का उद्देश्य नहीं है, श्रांत भवन में टिक रहना,
किंतु पहुँचना उस सीमा तक, जिसके आगे कोई राह नहीं। "

("The purpose of this path is not to stay in a restless house, but to reach to the extent beyond which there is no way.")

It cannot be denied at all that the progress made in the initial stage of technology, today we have reached many times ahead. Apart from this, technologies like 'artificial intelligence' have also been invented. They are also being continuously improved. All this has been possible due to this tendency of man.

7. If we talk about other living beings other than humans, then this tendency is rarely seen in them. From wild animals to domesticated animals, there are very few creatures that behave beyond their basic instincts. In the imitation of monkeys and the quick understanding of human actions by dogs, it is worth noting that a small amount of this tendency is originally present in monkeys, considered to be the earliest generation of human evolution, whereas animals like dogs gradually learn this from the behavior of human beings. While thinking about animals, we also see that all animals have a special voice. While the roar of a lion produces a different sound, the trumpet of an elephant, the rumbling of a cow, and the whine of a goat have a different sound. We never see a lion trumpeting, an elephant roaring, and a cow whining. It seems that they all want to remain as they are in their original nature.

8. In the context of birds also it can be easily seen that they work within their limits. Small to big birds know their power very well. That is why one of their purposes of flying in flocks while traveling long distances is also self-defense. Apart from this, we also never see that a small bird gets into a fight with big birds like a falcon and tries in vain to prove itself powerful. Among birds, if we wish, we can consider some such birds, such as parrots, which imitate humans to some extent, in the category of this concealment, but this never proves that it is the birds' own effort. All this they learn from a man.

** In the end, it can be said that the tendency of man to hide from the status quo seems to be innate. However, in primitive times, the primitive man was wild and nomadic and had many characteristics similar to animals, so this tendency was less in him. But with each stage of development man got separated from animals and his tendencies also got different. He began to try to live outside his status quo; The progressive process of wearing leaves, clothes, and ornaments from the state of initial nakedness is an example of this effort. As human development progressed, the man was lost in the imagination of the virtual world. While this attitude of man created many facilities for him, he also created many difficulties!!!
